Women of Colour Care
and Community

The Women of Colour Care and Community Project supports women of colour in regional and rural Victoria to connect, increase skills and confidence, be heard and take leadership in their communities.  As part of this project, we run monthly members-only online workshops as well as face-to-face capacity strengthening sessions. We also offer one-on-one support to African Australian women living in the Loddon-Mallee region via a Social Worker and Dinka-speaking Community Facilitators.

If you are a woman of colour living in regional or rural Victoria, we'd love to hear from you! You are welcome to join any or all of our sessions, or just get in touch to tell us about yourself and how we can support your community aspirations. Please contact us at hello@regionalcolour.org.au.

WOC Project: What We Do

The MEMP acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout our nation, and pays respect to Elders past and present. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ connections to land, sea and community, and respect their cultural, spiritual and educational practices.

The MEMP recognises and celebrates the extraordinary cultural richness and diversity of our communities and workplaces. The MEMP is committed to inclusiveness, respect and cultural safety.
